We produced many deliverable which are promised to various stakeholders. These are unique and verifiable by the receiver stakeholder.

But in order to produce these deliverable, we create many intermediate tangible items which are not direct deliverable to stakeholders.
For example: Test cases may be work product which are created to execute your test.

In planning, BA should think about the work products and how they will be created, stored, accessed, and used by the project team. Planning for work products is less formal than deliverable.

Following is the difference between the Deliverables and Work Product:
Deliverable. Any unique and verifiable product, result, or capability to perform a service that is required to be
produced to complete a process, phase, or project.
Work Product. An output produced as a result of some completion of work that is required for a short-term
purpose and not required to be monitored and maintained on an ongoing basis.

Hello,

Considering that a deliverable is what is promised to the customer, whereas, a work product is not, can someone please help me with some examples for both deliverable and work products?

Some of my examples could be:
Deliverable:
Process Flows, User Stories, Test Cases, Prototypes, Design document, Test Execution Report

Work Products:
Flip Charts with elicitation information, elicitation information as a results of interview with stakeholders, information gathered from workshop, meeting minutes, wire frames, , etc.

Again, in my view, this is very much dependent on the project. Can someone please share their thoughts on this?

Thanks

Your understanding is correct.

Which output is deliverable and which one is work product varies project to project. Deliverables are promised to deliver to customer and Business Analysis can help to understand different output categories.
