Elicitation

Sun Feb 23, 2020 9:18 pm

Hi -

If you are implementing a Vendor solution (predictive) - upgrading patient monitors - how would you go about getting the stakeholder's requirements? Would the requirements come from the vendor- documenting the features of the monitors? How would the stakeholders know the requirements? The existing monitors are at the end of life and need to be upgraded.

Thank you,
Maureen

I missed somehow this question, I am sorry for the delay.

There is no specific way to gather requirements. You need to see who has the authentic source of requirements.
Requirements are discovered based on your analysis of - where can I ger requirements?

Sometimes you need to brainstorm requirements with vendor people if they are not clear about their requirements?
Sometimes you need to workshop to get the consensus of identified requirements
Sometimes you need to interview with people who have answers to your questions
Sometimes you need to do focus group when you have a group of people who have experience of such a solution

So, it depends based on your business analysis - which tool shall I use?
To whom I need to involve?

From your question, I understand, you need to involve people who has experience of using monitors, now based on stakeholders availability and org culture you need to select appropriate method to understand requirements.

In the exam, the question situation will help you to understand.
