How can we measure the team velocity in a Kanban pull-system.
What metrics do we use to measure the efficiency of progress

The Kanban method meant to enable a continuous flow of value at a predictable pace. It serves as a visual indicator where work is pulled by the next process based on available capacity.
WIP limits help the team to focus on finishing work, which streamlined the flow of work. Like if work is stuck in a process, it is visible and gives a signal to do something about it. People from other processes can come forward to clear the blocked items in a process.

If needed you can measure the work which is Done by a given time period and can help you in coming up in Velocity.

Velocity is calculated based on - "we did x amount of work over period Y". You may define your "period Y", Kanban does not give any guideline about it,
