Question 8 of 8: Webinar on Scrum : Sprint Management

Postby saket Wed Aug 30, 2017 2:36 am

If something 50% finished in a sprint. But sprint finished, What happen to that item?
In scrum, is there a UAT after all sprints done?
We are following 2 week sprint, should we need to follow the same period through out the project? why not a 1 week sprint?

Here is a detailed video on Sprint and Related points

If something 50% finished in a sprint. But sprint finished, What happen to that item?

In Scrum we do not recognize any % completion, either it is Done at the end of Sprint or Not Done. Not Done items move back to product backlog and Product Owner looks at current priority and decides if he wishes to put them in next Sprint.

In scrum, is there a UAT after all sprints done?

Scrum Let the team define its Definition of Done and team decide if the UAT has to be part of it, If UAT is part of Definition of Done, then it is Done as part of each sprint. If it is not, than team need to decide how soon they can get it done. Idea is not to carry risk for long and do UAT towards the end. Exact process team need to find it out.
We are following 2 week sprint, should we need to follow the same period through out the project? why not a 1 week sprint?

The Above video has many details on this point.
