What is the meaning of a concept called the "Journey to Abilene"?

A. Project managers should visit their customers far more often than what is usual in order to avoid misunderstandings and bad emotions.

B. International projects may have an increased need for traveling which can lead to additional costs and troubles with time zones.

C. Committee decisions can have the paradox outcome, that a jointly made or approved decision is not desired by any individual group member.

D. A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. Repeating it would be similar to making the same journey twice.

The correct answer is C.

Journey to Abilene deals with a paradox, which is that the inability to manage agreement is a major source of organization dysfunction. So this means that most people agree to do certain things as a group, or an organization, which they personally do not agree or believe in.

Journey to Abilene means that the committee decisions can have a paradox outcome, the joint decision is not necessarily welcome by all the team members, but because of fear of raising objections. they show their agreement.
