test question --- Need Explanation

Postby cstandrew Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:02 pm

I do not understand why this said that 20,30, 40, 50... was the correct answer.

\\Question 31

1.00/0.00
Which would be least preferred scale to be used for planning poker

0, 10, 20 , 30, 50, 80

1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55

0, 1, 2, 4, 8 ,16

]20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80[/color]
- Solution
Whatever scale team chooses for estimation should be non linear scale or Fibonacci series, Whichever series or scale used 0 is acceptable for stories which are miniscule effort and cannot be associated with a number.

Series - 0, 10, 20 , 30, 50, 80 is not a linear scale. That's why this is least preferred scale. Non-leaner scale is preferred because as size increases, mean the gap should increase as we move from big to more big, the Fibonacci series serves this purpose 1,2,3,5,8,13 so after eight we get 13 ...as the story is becoming bigger, the gap is increasing. Another series can be 2,4,8,16,32,64
