Hi,
Since both the estimations (Product backlog and sprint backlog estimation) are done by scrum team, I have following questions:
1. Sprint backlog estimations are done in sprint planning, when is product backlog estimations are done?
2. Difference between Product backlog vs sprint backlog estimation, except the level of granularity.
Regards,
Ashish

Re: Product backlog vs sprint backlog estimation
Here is one talk on estimation . its in Hindi if you understand it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mn-C7A-MKs
1. Sprint backlog estimations are done in sprint planning, when is product backlog estimations are done?
Saket : Product Backlog Estimations are done first time before Release planning and many time the meeting is called Backlog Refinement meeting, Many team do Backlog refinement meeting during the sprint to refine the estimates of newly created product backlog items (after they get spitted from epics) .
2. Difference between Product backlog vs sprint backlog estimation, except the level of granularity.
Saket : At product backlog level you estimate the size whereas at sprint planning you estimate the effort. Yes the sprint planning estimates are more detailed and based on work in hand.
