Theme are not actually stories

Postby Harun Raseed Mon Dec 19, 2016 1:19 pm

I think Themes are not the stories actually. That is a keyword used to group the sub stories (that are delivering a Epic) and this keyword is mainly used for management for tracking a Epic. is that correct?

Yes your understanding is correct.

This is how Mike Cohn Writes it in Agile Estimation and Planning.

Set of related user stories may be combined (usually by a paper clip if working with note cards) and treated as a single entity for either estimating or release planning. Such a set of user stories is referred to as a theme.
