Query - Risk Management

Postby Prachi Bansal Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:53 pm

You have joined the project during end of planning phase as previous Project manager has left organization and you are presenting project plan subsidiaries and some project documents to steering group for approval. While discussing risk register there is disagreement between 2 influential stakeholders in steering group on the risk factor calculated for a given risk. What would you refer to stakeholders for basis of deriving risk

Quantitative risk analysis

Impact scale defined conditions

Risk register

Probability and impact matrix

Correct answer is Impact scale defined conditions. But Risk factors are determined using Probability & impact matrix.

Yes thats true we calculate RF based on probab and impact.
However when there is a disagreement on RF, we need to make them understand the definition of the scale of Probability and impact and thats Impact scale defined conditions
