Rick is managing a project which is budgeted for $100,000. The project is expected to last for 10 months with work spread evenly across all the months. At the end of fifth month, he noticed that $50,000 have actually been spent in the project and only 40% of the work has been done. What is the schedule variance percentage in this scenario?

Let me answer this question.

BAC = $100000
AC= $50000
EV = 40% of BAC= .40 x 100000 =$40000
PV = 50% of BAC = .5 x 100000 =$50000 (Actually Planned For)
Should have been done = $50000
SV= 40000/50000 =.8 < 1 Behind Schedule

Hopefully, it answers the requirement.
