Comparable information vs Project scope

Postby nirajsys@gmail.com Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:12 am

Hi,

Found the below statement on pg.121 of PMBOK.

"If project charter is not used in the performing organisation, the comparable information needs to be acquired/developed and used as a basis for detailed project scope statement and informal analysis"

My question is what does comparable information mean and what is it source.

Pls advise.

You look a bit stressed on this :)

Comparable information is nothing but information which is in project charter like - high level scope, milestones, etc

so basically it means if there is not formal Prj charter the PM should gather equivalent information, source will be various stakeholders and Sponsor will be the main input provider
