PM Role in different phases of the project

Postby nazrulq Tue Jul 11, 2017 4:42 pm

In the Executing phase of a project, a project manager should ideally be:

1 Coaching
2 Directing
3 Authoritarian
4 Supportive

My Opinion : In initiating - Coaching
Planning /Executing- Diercting & Coaching
Monitoring -Directing
Closing- Supportive

Authritarian is not a valid option.

If Manish can explain would be much appreciated.

In the Executing phase of a project, a project manager should ideally be:
1 Coaching-----M&C
2 Directing---- Executing
3 Authoritarian------ This is a form of power
4 Supportive------M&C

I think the right answer is B

Correct Answer: Coaching. But I am not agree with that justification. Coaching might require in the beginning but later on Directing and Monitoring.Supportive Can be in closing phase. Not Coaching! I think its a wrong answer!
Can Manish explain !

Thanks.
