Practiced Conflict Resolution System

Postby nazrulq Mon Jul 10, 2017 8:34 pm

The conflict resolution techniques that are mostly practiced in Project management practice are:

1 Withdraw, Force, Compromise
2 Withdraw, Authoritative, Force
3 Withdraw, Authoritative, Compromise
4 Withdraw, Collaborate, Accommodate

Mostly recommended as best practice is Collaborating/Problem solving. But in industry mostly practiced Collaborate, Withdraw, and compromise; I would go for option 4. Forcing is not a good practice!
If somebody has other opinion or Manish, could you explain please!

I dont think there is any recommendation or statistics collected to support this, however if i go with elimination then option 1 and 2 are eliminated as it has force.

from 3 and 4. I will prefer 4, as Authoritative is not a conflict resolution technique
