Should be either A or D. Would go with A. Archive project documents but another confusion is Lessons Learnt doesnt fall in project document category

Hi,

Its D, Indexing and archiving of project documents happens before lessons learned knowledge base is updated, very last step of closing process is Releasing resources though.

Amit.

Hi Nandita,

I follow Rita's Process chart, Below are the Steps for Closing process Group.

Confirm work is done to requirements.
Complete procurement closure
Gain formal acceptance of the product
Complete financial closure.
Hand off completed product
Solicit feedback from customer about the project
Complete final performance reporting
Index and archive records
Gather final lessons learned and update knowledge base.
Release Resources.
Regards,

Amit.

Dear Amit ,

Sorry to bother you as its a confusing term so few more question.

Suppose one of the important procurement is under legal battle in this case can we go ahead with closing process. in this case how we will perform "Complete financial closure"
(I changed the order-Complete procurement closure. )
Confirm work is done to requirements.
Gain formal acceptance of the product.(Is this verify scope)
Complete financial closure.
Hand off completed product.
Complete procurement closure. (Can we consider this as seller internal task and not concerned with buyer)
Solicit feedback from customer about the project
Complete final performance reporting
Index and archive records .(Here lessons learned is not included is it )
Gather final lessons learned and update knowledge base.(What we call as final lessons learned )
Release Resources.

Kind Regards:
Nandita Nandan.

Hi Nandita,

Suppose one of the important procurement is under legal battle in this case can we go ahead with closing process. in this case how we will perform "Complete financial closure" - Usually NO, unless otherwise the contract has the provision to conditionally close contract in rare case

Procurement closure is specific to each contract (should not be linked with close project or phase) below sequence is for project/phase closure so dont mix up
I am putting my comments but sequence and steps are not same.

(I changed the order-Complete procurement closure. )
Confirm work is done to requirements.
Gain formal acceptance of the product.(Is this verify scope) - this is Validate scope
Complete financial closure.
Hand off completed product. - Not needed
Complete procurement closure. (Can we consider this as seller internal task and not concerned with buyer) - NO most of procurement tasks are done at both buyer and Sellers end,
Solicit feedback from customer about the project
Complete final performance reporting
Index and archive records .(Here lessons learned is not included is it ) - record management sytem is used for all contract related documents
Gather final lessons learned and update knowledge base.(What we call as final lessons learned )
Release Resources.
