Nominal Group Vs Delphi Technique

Postby saket Tue Nov 19, 2019 6:22 am

I want to understand the difference between nominal group technique and Delphi .
I have gone through your videos. But not very clear yet.

Nominal Group and Delphi can be used together and that is why it can create confusion

This is how PMBOK 6 Defines it
Nominal Group Technique. A technique that enhances brainstorming with a voting process used to rank the most useful ideas for further brainstorming or for prioritization.

So we can say when we close the brainstorming with prioritization and voting we do Nominal Group Thinking. On Delphi, the idea is isolated thinking so one does not get impacted by someone else though the process. Its like give problems to three people and they spend 2 hours alone and finally share their findings to the facilitator.
