Professional & social Responsibility

Postby @lok Tue Nov 11, 2014 4:47 pm

Your company wants to open a plant in a country where the law stipulates that women can earn only 50 percent of what men earn. Under these circumstances, what should you recommend to your company?

A: Do not open the plant
B: Meet with government officials and try to get a waiver that equalizes the pay rate between men and women
C: Don't hire women.
D: Provide the women you hire with extra work to increase their salary.

The ans given in Rita is A. How can it be. If this stands true then as per PMIsm companies should not operate in countries like Saudi :D

You won't get such questions in exam.... difficult to pick choice from these options... if something is given in law and we have to do business in that country PM should comply with it.
