Hi,

This is Overlapping relationship, as one the planning is done for the next phase during the current phase.
Sequential cannot be as the name says, the phases must be sequential one after the other.
Multiphase is/are different phases and it's not a relationship
Iterative means once a phase is completed, it must be started again with the new requirements.

This is my understanding.

even i thought A but answer is Iterative and even after looking at the answer i thought should be D because here we are talking about PLANNING of next phase whereas in other relationship we do execution of two phases at the same time.

However, i need an expert judgement here to know if what i am thinking is correct or not? Please suggest.

Question point towards Iterative

PMBOK Pg 45 -
Project phases (also called iterations). In Iterative : planning of next iteration is carried out as work progresses on the current iteration's scope and deliverable

Iterative phases can be performed in overlapping or sequential. Question suggests overlapping Iterative phases.
