Cleared PMI ACP with Above Target

Postby sana.anuj Tue Dec 18, 2018 8:17 am

I am glad to share that I cleared the ACP exam yesterday with Above target.

Many thanks to Saket and Seema for all the guidance and support that was essential to achieve this milestone. Saket's videos are awesome.

Few lessons learnt-

Read below topics in depth

Scrum
User Stories
Estimation
Agile Planning (Release, Iteration & Day)
Agile Monitoring
Retrospection
Agile Manifesto and Principles

Scrum in depth understanding is must. We can use below steps.

#1 First go through all videos
#2 Go through the webinars (total 4 : Sprint, Product Backlog, Scrum of Scrum and Scrum Roles) . Understand all questions.
#3 Attempt 35 free scrum questions (Available in izenbridge site under Free Resources-> Free Test ->Scrum)
#4 For wrong questions, explore scrum guide for answer because this will help to understand more instead of just check the answer.
#5 Attempt free questions for PSM (http://mlapshin.com). You won't get these kind of question in ACP exam but indirectly it will help you. Like difference between participate and attend. PO can attend daily scrum but can't participate because as per scrum guide only dev team can participate.
#6 Use izenbridge forum for doubts.
#7 You can use scrum.org for doubts as well. Ian Mitchell comments will help for sure.

Not attempt multiple free questions available on internet. 4 izenbridge tests are sufficient.

Some of the questions were quite tricky with multiple correct answers and very difficult to choose from but the real trick lies within the question itself. Just read them multiple times very carefully and most likely you might find a hint or indication to help in judging the correct answer.

Adopt agile mindset from preparation and use below definition of scrum values.

Focus -- Single undivided attention on study when you are watching videos or reading lesson notes. Avoid distraction from social media :)
Courage -- Courage to attempt practice test 4 and schedule exam
Commitment -- Self commitment
Openness -- Don't hesitate for forum posting. Be open with the izenbrige team if you are not getting something.
Respect --Respect your strength. No need to demoralize if your score is less in practice test or you are facing any issue in grasping some concept.
