Passed PMI-ACP on July-28

Postby dharmeend Wed Aug 03, 2016 8:55 pm

Hi All,
Cleared my PMI-ACP

First off all Thanks to Saket for the wonderful training video.

Preparation

1) As everyone do i first started reading the Mike's book.

2) Than i started looking at training videos and notes from saket. i was amazed by seeing that saket have covered

everything that mike's book have and also lot of the additional stuff.

3) During video tutorial i was taking the notes that i thought it is important for my future references

4) for the paid practice exam i opt for Mike PM fast Track.

5) then i attempted the izenbridge full length exams my score were (74,78,94)

6) i read some chapters of the Agile planning and estimating , but again saket have covered everything.

My Take on my Preparation

1) when i started preparing for MY PMI-ACP , i had mindset of learning Agile methodology and apply that in projects that i

am currently working , rather than just taking Exam, so it looks good on my resume and trust me it will help a lot in preparation.

2) Saket Videos, Tutorial and notes are more than enough.

3) for practice exams i liked Mike PM fast Track. ( it has about 500 question for the practice)

Regarding EXAM

1) It's scenario based exam.

2) Its very important to know the roles of SM,PO and Team in agile methodology for example
question
1) while working on current sprint , team came to know sprint is obsolete , so what should SM do
a) cancel the sprint
b) talk to PO
in this case SM have no rights to cancel the sprint so option a will not be correct answer .

3) Try to catch the keywords from the question

4) Read the question twice and try to understand the scenario . ( it will be long questions sometime )

5) don't rush to complete the exams in 2 hours and then review them all again.

6) I took me 2.5 hours to complete and then i did review for half an hour

7) Don't lose the confidence if first 20 to 25 question are tough. this what i did
after every 40 question i took the break of 5 mins and then went back to start the exam.

8) Remember the 12 principles of agile while choosing any option.

9) No lean questions

last but not least i will say thanks to my wife who take care of rest of things , while i was preparing for my exam.

Thank you for sharing the lesson learned. What is your take away for taking the Mike FastTrack ? Is it worth to spent on Mike FastTrack or optional if we took all the iZenBridge PMI-ACP Exam ?
