PMP – Achieved a Career Milestone on 07 March 2018

Postby riyadhmuhammed Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:48 am

Alhamdulillah…

I cleared my exam on 07 March 2018. Thank for all your support.

Used Study Material for preparation

PMBOK Guide– Only read the main points and ITTO sections.
Rita Mulcahey – Read the complete book one time.
iZenBride PMP online classroom videos – The complete videos watch 2 times
Izenbridge YouTube clarification section videos – Listened most of clarification section videos more than three times. This was my main Study Material. I found time for listening to the videos during my traveling hours.

Used Practice Test

Scardo question – Most of the practice test attempted 2 times
PM FASTrack PMP exam simulator

During the exam, I took 3 hours and 35 minutes to complete. After 120 question I took a short break for 5 minutes. And my final score was three above targets and 2 targets.

I have special thanks to Mr. Zaket and his team.

Thanks and regards,
Riyadh

Hello Poonam,

Sorry for jump in, but I have gone through similar experience. That is the reason I thought let me share my experience. Once I also thought to buy this but I made a good decision and I did not buy it. If you are pursuing 5th edition, you may not have much time. Do not depends too much on mock test. Exam is more far different than mock test as far as my experience is concerned. Mock test will help you in managing your time and also may help you to clear some of the topic of PM Book, but not necessary that the same topic will be asked in the exam.

Take the PM book process and put in to your real life project management – will help you more while attending the exam.

Try to understand the concept rather than memorizing, hopefully this will help you a lot.
Best of Luck.

Regards,

Altaf.

Thanks Altaf to come and advice. you are right, I am preparing for PMBOK 5h edition and going to appear for the exam 22nd March. I am very tensed and not able to concentrate on things. I feel like taking more and more mocks everyday.

can you please tell me how much I should score in izenbridge's mock (Quampus) to consider myself prepare for the exam?

my current score is :-
200 test 1 :- 68%
200 test 2:- 81%
200 test 3 :- 86%
200 test 4 :- 85%
200 Questions Full Length Practice Test : 87%

can you please help me to suggest what should I do in last week of my exam.

Thanks in advance

Hello Poonam,

You are scoring even better than me, keep cool and do something like listening music or whatever you like the most during your intense reading. Be confident. You are really doing good.

During last week try focusing on your weak areas.

Someone told me to be creative before my exam, but I could not understand.

Now I realised it that while reading exam question you have to read the question from multidimensional. If you succeed understanding the question successfully, you will be definitely able to crack it. Whenever there is tough question in the exam, try elimination option.

Initially, there may be tough question. Do not get tensed. Keep attending the question in time. You will definitely success.

Best of luck.

If you need more help - keep posting.

Regards,

Altaf
