Done with PMP - Post 11 Jan 2016

Postby mudit_pathak Wed Jan 20, 2016 8:05 am

Hi All,

Here is my experience with new pattern:
1- There are ample questions on Lessons learned and the Project Manager role during Project Initiation. Doing cost-benefit analysis and other activities.
2- Seriously nothing on Lean principles etc. If you are good with PMBOK5 and other concepts I do not see any issue in clearing the exam.
3- One has to be familiar with all the documents(Risk Plan, Project Charter, Project MGMT Plan, Stakeholder mgmt plan etc). The significance of each document and what info they carry should be on tips.
4- For situational questions there would be multiple issues but you need to figure out which option really resolves the MAIN problem.
5- DO go through Saket's video on new changes and keep that in mind while answering questions. Trust me that is SUFFICIENT for the new pattern. No extra preparation needed.
6- There were some question on KPI but I was aware of these through my ITIL certification.
7- Also last but not least make the optimum use of Strike out wrong option in the exam. This would save ample time in re-reading the wrong options and limits your scope to restricted options.

Thanks Saket for your much beneficial free tutorials. You are the BEST mentor I have come across.
Let me know if anybody has any concern on new pattern.

Thanks,
Mudit
