Here is my LL

Preparation:
1. Started preparation in Oct/2014 and completed required 35 PDUs.
2. Planned to give exam in Dec/2014 but had to postpone due to work commitments and international travels. So started serious studies from Mid of Jan/2015 onwards. Only after I felt I was prepared I went ahead and completed my application and booked the exam date.
3. Read PMBOK (word by word) - 3 times and Rita at least 2 times to grasp everything.
4. Watches Saket’s videos.
5. Practice genuine mock exams only. There are lot of mock tests online but not relevant to PMBOK5. I did around 4200 free mock questions including Scordo, Oliver Lehman, TechFaq’s, Brain Bok. My scores were in the range of 72-90%
6. During preparation try to give practice test consisting of 30-50 questions daily to keep up with the rhythm.
7. Gave only 1 full mock test (4 hours) at Skillsoft and scored 67% just 1 week before exam and was very nervous.
8. Just 3 days before exam, tried izenbrideg 100 questions (83%) and Oliver 175 questions (81%)
9. Practiced questions related to EVM, communication channel, critical path. Decision tree and float questions.

Exam:
1. Used the first 15 mins tutorial to write formulas and processes on the scratch paper.
2. Completed all the 200 questions in 2.5 hours. I had marked around 25 questions for review and was able to review within the remaining time.
3. First 100 questions were very tricky having multi paragraphs. Next 100s were easy with 4-6 lines. Got couple of questions having direct wordings from PMBOK (glad I read this!!)
4. About 8-12 EVM calculation question, 5-6 Tuckman Ladder, 2-3 decision tree questions, 8-10 questions regarding interpretation of CPI and SPI
5. All scenario based questions with a focus on EVM formulas especially EAC, ETC, EV, PV, CV, CPI, SPI
6. Lot of change management, risk management questions, tricky initiation and closing process groups which were very confusing.
7. ITTO : Got couple of questions but the again with 2 confusing and close options (after you rule out 2 options). Here your understanding of concepts helps a lot.
8. I used the below trick to answer questions:
a. Understand what process group the question is talking about and map it to KAs.
b. Quick identify the key words and map it to PMBOK . This will help you find 2 best options that are close to the answer. Read the question again and weed out one of the options and select the best answer.

All the Best!

@dipti5ece : I practiced only free tests from
1. Rita - questions mostly depend upon her book content so you need to study her book as well.
2. Scordo
3. Oliver Lehman - 75 & 175 questions
4. TechFaq360
5. Brain Bok
6. PMZEST
7. iZenbridge
8. Skillsoft
9. Pmzilla - 30 questions are good
10. Certchamp - good for wordy questions but has some content from PMBOK4 as well.
