I have cleared PMP exam
Hi all,
I have cleared PMP exam yesterday.
Thanks to the group of Izenbridge - Namita, Saket.....for their help and others who pitched in with useful comments.
Exam was easy, but preparation for PMP is tough..... Finding time to study, doing so many practice questions.....
Multiple reading of Rita and PMBOK....
Thanks Again.
Regards,
Pankaj

Congratulation !! and complete your 60 PDUs soon... and make use of your current membership...
Re: I have cleared PMP exam
I am delighted to hear this Pankaj. As Saket suggested, this is the start of journey with iZenbridge. Stay connected for many more future activities (PDUs, Other certifications) and also now its time to contribute the knowledge you gained

Thanks to all of you.
Even I am thinking of doing ACP now, but bit confused. So, I will check link of ACP that Saket sent me.

Re: I have cleared PMP exam
Hi Saket,
I was going through your blog for "60 PDUs renewal - PDU tips for people who did their PMP certification recently".
I cleared my PMP certification on 11-Aug-2014. So, it means if I want to avail 6 years renewal in 60 PDUs, then I have to complete all 60 PDUs and $60 in 30 days or 1 year from 11-Aug?
How much duration I have to get 60 PDUs with $60 after certification?
Please confirm.
thanks

Re: I have cleared PMP exam
Also, I went to PMI site.
There it is written differently for renewal...
***********************************************************
Annual Fees: $129.00
Benefits Description: Individual membership renewal is for existing PMI members who wish to continue receiving the benefits a membership in PMI has to offer. Please note that you must be within 90 days of your current membership expiration date to renew. Any PMI Chapter you are already a member of will be added to your cart automatically. You can choose to renew or not to renew your existing Chapter membership(s).
***********************************************************
Like:
Please note that you must be within 90 days of your current membership expiration date to renew
then $ 129.
Does it mean I can't renew now and $60 is not renewal fees?

Re: I have cleared PMP exam
Few points:
1. There are two types of renewal , the membership and PMP.
2. The PMP can be renewed any time in next 3 years, once you report 60 PDUs
3. When you renew PMP you need to pay fee, and this fee is different for member and non member, for member it is 60 USD and non member it is 150.
4. So i am assuming you became member of PMI before giving PMP, so if you do the renewal of your PMP before your current membership expire you can get benefit of fee difference.
The same blog has many comments and Q&A in comment area, some of them may help you... if possible please post followup query in same blog so other reader may also get value from our interaction
the blog also has video which may be more friendly to understand.

Re: I have cleared PMP exam
Sorry for late reply.
I was out of town.
Well, my approach for preparation was simple:
Gave 2 months timeframe to myself and scheduled exam. Paid money, so no getting back.
1. Study Rita book first, then study PMBOK.
2. Then attempt chapter end questions of Rita.
3. Study Rita book 2nd time, and then study PMBOK again.
4. Give 2 test papers (mock) from internet free sites, Rita Fast Track etc.
5. Start questions of Christopher Scordo from PMI website (you can access them if you become member of PMI).
6. 2 weeks before exam, read Rita nd PMBOK again.
7. 4 days before exam, practiced 2 full test papers.
8. In between, join 1 good forum. iZenbridge is a very good forum and can be part of it.
I used to study 2 hrs daily and 5 hrs on weekend. I continued this 1.5 months.
90% questions in PMP man exam were easy, and I did not rush to answering them. I left only 4 questions for marking and attempted them after I completed all questions.
Overall, PMP is not an easy exam and only good preparation can lead to success.

Re: I have cleared PMP exam
How would you rate Scordo compare to real PMP Exam, I solved Scordo and found it really easy (my average Scordo score has been 90%).
Same for Rita FasTRACK (I did not touch Rita FasTRACK yet) - how would you rate Rita FasTrack to real PMP Exam?
