Order of tasks in Analysis domain

Postby huytnn Tue Jun 05, 2018 3:28 am

I have an ambiguity about the order of tasks in analysis domain. There are some flows:

- We will carry out: requirement specification, validate, verify -> and then getting sign-off;
- We will carry out : getting sign off -> requirement specification, validate
- Others flow?

Additionally, in the page 6 of examination content outline,

is

task 3 (Evaluate product options and capabilities by using decision-making and valuation techniques in order to determine which requirements are accepted, deferred, or rejected)

the same meaning with

task 7 (Validate requirements using tools and techniques such as documentation review, prototypes, demos, and other validation methods in order to ensure requirements are complete, accurate and aligned with goals, objectives, and value proposition)?

Regards!

Whenever you are exploring requirements, there is no prescribed sequence in doing verification and validation. You can do verification first to ensure quality requirements and these quality requirements are discussed with stakeholders to see if these are good for their needs. If needed a verification can be repeated to ensure both quality requirements and right requirements which is good to solve customer problems.

On the other hand, you can choose first validation and after validation, you can choose to verify with the feeling that you are now working with verification to make them quality requirements which are already proven good from the customer point of view.

In task 3 you are working to explore various solutions to a requirement problem, evaluating them and using decision-making techniques to select an option.

In task 7 you are using various tools to engage stakeholders to validate if these are right requirements and meeting goals.
