Release Burndown Bar Chart vs Release Burndown Chart

Postby seema.sonkiya Tue Sep 11, 2018 10:22 am

Got the following question:

Can you please help me to clear the difference between Release Burndown Bar Chart vs Release Burndown Chart.

Release Burn Down Chart: It monitors the progress of iterations. On the X-axis, iterations are plotted, and on Y axis story points are plotted. We update this chart at the end of each iteration. If the scope is added, it shows burn-ups.
It shows a single value. - net change in the amount of work remaining.

Release Burn Down Bar Chart: It shows team progress for a release date. The height of each bar represents the amount of work remaining in the release. But it also shows the team's velocity and the scope changes separately. If you have a lot of changing requirements, this chart is effective to show all these changes.
