Hi All,
What are the factors that PO will consider while accepting or rejecting the user stories or whole Sprint ?

1. Team did not extract the explicit information on satisfying the story
2. Requirements are not fully refined
3. DOD is not met / comply
4. Team did not work according to the what is discussed with PO

Anyone can shed some light on the criteria's with some examples ?

PO accepts it when he finds acceptance cafeterias are met along with DOD . Many time stories get rejected when acceptance cafeterias are not interpreted by PO and team in same way . for that continues interaction among PO and team is needed.

Thanks Saket.

I agree with your reply.

But how do I Judge the exact answer with the limited amount of detail provided in the following question.
The same was discussed at viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6642

For the next iteration, a team selected five user stories in collaboration with the customer. During the iteration, the team explored the engineering tasks for these user stories, and they developed these user stories as per these list of requirements. At the end of the iteration, when the team showed the demo to the customer - the customer said - "Nice Work-- but not what I wanted," and he rejected the whole work. What could be the reason for this situation?

In the above question clues are highlighted. How to guess the exact answer / option with the above clues ?

Why not be the correct option is "C"

Options:
A. Team did not work with customer to write explicit statements to satisfy the use of story

B. Team did not comply the Definition of Done

C. Team did not work according to the what they have discussed with customer

There could be multiple answers correct, here the question is asking the best reason which could be the rejection of 5 user stories of the iteration?

The question is more focusing towards the particular five user stories. The acceptance criteria are Explicit statements to detail the user story. The DoD are not written separately for each user story. Thus less collaboration is required once defined. These are written uniformly for all the user stories.

Please watch following videos:

1. The following video will help you to know how continuous collaboration is needed for the understanding and writing Acceptance Criteria for a User Story:

2. The following video will help you to know why the definition of DoD does not change so frequently:

By knowing the difference, you can see that Acceptance Criteria are deep details of User Story from the customer point of view; thus it is the best answer.
