I am Sorry for the delay in the response. Somehow I missed the message.

10 minute build is an XP programming practice - It is based on the continuous integration and treats integration as a non-event. The code is not integrated into phases, it is continuously integrated.

It is a simple practice where everyone on the team is integrating frequently, usually daily, against a controlled source code repository.

The essence of it lies in the simple practice of everyone on the team frequently integrating, usually daily, against a controlled source code repository. The essence of Continuous Integration is to provide rapid feedback. Concentrated efforts are put to make it happen within 10 minutes as each minute you save the build time is a minute saved for each developer each time they commit. AS CI needs frequent commits, this saves a lot of time.
