Constraint Cards

Postby anilkro Thu Jun 30, 2016 8:43 am

Is there element called "Constraint Cards" in Agile that should be remembered for ACP exam? If yes, could you please help to get the concept? ( what is it, when is it prepared? who should have common understanding of this card? how does team treat them?)

In following question, I see that "Contraiant card" in option "c" and "d".

Which of the following is not true about the constraints?

a) “Constraint” must be obeyed rather than directly implemented

b) Acceptance tests may be written to ensure the constraint is not violated

c)Constraint cards gets estimated and scheduled in iteration same like story cards

d)Constraint cards should be taped to the wall where they act as reminders

Constraints are non functional requirement.

Few examples as follows =
1. The new system must use our existing order database.
2. The system must support peak usage of up to 50 concurrent users.
3. The software must run on all versions of Windows.
4. The system will achieve uptime of 99.999%.
5. this system must perform adequately with 100,000 concurrent users

Open below link. Page number 77 and 78. you will get the answer for above question.

The concept of Constraint Cards may not be relevant for PMI-ACP, but of course you must understand how to deal with those constraints in an Agile world. :-)
