Updating the Release Plan

Postby bs_pani Wed Jun 15, 2016 5:23 am

When should we ideally update the release plan.

At the end of the iteration or any time during the iteration when new observation found?

If we talk about Scrum, the release plan is not one of the artifacts. Scrum gives you a minimum structure to work in the form of 3 Roles, three artifacts, and four ceremonies.

Scrum team may use other artifacts if needed like release plan. Also, the team knows the best way to work. They best knows when to update the release plan. Scrum Team usually use up to 10% of the time in grooming activities, they decide how to use this time and can use to update the release plan as well.

Yes Sanjay,

The Release Plan is updated after the sprint end. But my confusion was that if its updated during mid sprint. After Seema's response it seems its update during the sprint as well.
