Scrum Meeting & Retrospective

Postby anthony1980 Mon Apr 15, 2019 4:58 pm

If one of the roles of the SM in the 15 minutes daily stand up meeting is to remove impediment if any with the team. If am correct, it is a way of helping the team solve their problems during iteration. So my question is why is the SM don''t proffer or give solutions during sprint retrospective meeting? Is it because he is the facilitator?

Thanks.
Tony.

The daily Scrum is not just about helping the team and to remove impediments. It is Team meeting, where each other collaborate to see how best they can achieve the sprint goal. This is the inspect and adapt of Sprint Backlog, which helps the team to achieve sprint goal best. If impediments are there in achieving that goal, SM helps the team in removing.

Sprint Retrospective is an overall reflection for improvements. The team explores various areas of improvements like their team relations and the way they are working.
