Re: Tricky Question
asking resources to work over time ( on a continuous basis) is against PMI ethics
now think what could be the option
now think what could be the option
Re: Tricky Question
Asking for overtime and work in the weekends( Not Mentioned) are against PMI Code of Ethics.
On job Training ( Not mentioned PMP exam should be clear that ) is the possible right choice!
Sometimes made up an answer just missed some information which can clear the right choice.
In that case, PMI should scrutinize the answer and questions with special attention.

Re: Tricky Question
Use the process of elimination.
1.Relax some Quality Requirements - Quality cannot be compromised, hence eliminated
2.Provide the available resources with some training to increase their performance - Competancy is not the issue, hence eliminated
3.Look for any part of the scope that can be cut
4.Ask your available resources to work overtime - PMI doesn't promote overtime.
Hence, C

Re: Tricky Question
From the above ans shall be 4.
May comes under PMBOK Schedule compression, crashing - to shorten the schedule duration, overtime can be approved when activities are on critical path.

Re: Tricky Question
I believe Option D will be the right choice.
I was also thinking about option B, but that again requires an additional budget for training and I didn't see any data that tells us about the reserve that project had planned for training.

Re: Tricky Question
Could you please clarify the source of the question. I dont think when the option to train and work overtime are both available, cut scope cant be the right choice. Scope, Time, Cost and Quality are all constraints. Without sufficient information, you cant choice which one to reduce. I would go with Option 2(train to increase performance), Work overtime is a crashing option that is acceptable, but that might not be the first thing to do. Well, it really depends where the question came from?
