Dependency: Quampus Question

Postby harin4627 Wed Jul 02, 2014 7:35 pm

Which of the following represents a relationship between project activities and non-project activities?
Mandatory Dependency
External Dependency
Discretionary Dependency
Internal Dependency

What will be an example of such a dependency on project activity by non project activity? Why it can't be internal (quampus answer is external)

Now this is a pure definition stuff

what is external dependencies?
External dependencies involve a relationship between project activities and non-project activities

Coming back to your confusion, definition of external and internal dependencies is defined while doing sequence activity process. Same dependency can be internal for one project and external for other. E.g. approval from govt body is generally external dependency but if its a Publich sector project for same department this can be internal to the project team's control (internal)
