control chart

Postby kushalks87 Wed Dec 06, 2017 4:47 pm

On a control chart, if six consecutive plot points are above the mean, then what can be
established about the process?

A. The process is out of control
B. The process will be out of control after plotting the seventh point.
C. The process is in control
D. Nothing can be established

hi Manish sir, if we have six points above mean the process is still stable, right? I marked C but it was wrong. As long as the points are above the mean but within the LCL and UCL the process is in control, right?

Also if we modify the question a bit further and it says that the 7 point also falls in line with all the readings(within UCL and LCL) will we need to apply rule of seven here and do RCA?

Also if my 7 readings are consistently(lets say its reaching 6 in all the 7 iterations) can i say my process is precise?
