Project Integration

Postby suresi00 Mon Dec 04, 2017 2:46 pm

You took over a troubled project from another PM who has just left the organization. While searching high level milestone and budget that was committed during initiation of project, you came to know that project charter doesn’t exist. Project is 80% complete and you have project management plan. What will you do next?

Project Charter not needed as project management plan already there

You will reach out to management for high level milestone and budget that was committed during initiation of project

Create a project charter and get it signed from management

Project is 80% complete so developing charter is waste of time

If no project charter exist PM is supposed to create ? How does he create by reverse engineering ?

create project charter and get it signed. Project charter is a mandatory requirement before we can begin.

agree project charter is needed, you dont need to do any reverse engineering but project charter is the document which creates legitimacy for project and PM, not project plan.
