Validate Scope Vs. verified deliverables

Postby Housam Bassal Mon Feb 13, 2017 2:09 pm

You have completed a milestone in your software development project and you are now verifying that the product meets the specifications outlined in the project management plan. What process group is this process in?
A. Quality Control
B. Monitor and Controlling
C. Executing
D. Planning

B - Verifying a product meets specifications relates to the Validate Scope process, which belongs to the monitoring and controlling process group. [PMBOK 5th edition, Page 133] [Project Scope Management].

I think the correct answer is A, as you and your team verifying the product , that's mean is verifying deliverables as part of quality control , and output of this process is Verified Deliverables.

Validate scope is done by customer/client/buyer.

I agree the focus is on acceptance of deliverables in validate scope process.
