Confront the project manager before report to the appropriate managemnt

Postby Housam Bassal Sat Feb 11, 2017 5:51 pm

A co-worker mentions that another project manager regularly takes certain project resources to expensive dinners and expenses it to the company. However, this project manager does not recognize or reward the contributions of any other project resources. What should you do?

A. Do nothing.
B. Confront the project manager.
C. Implement a formal reward and recognition program on your own project.
D. Report this to the appropriate management.

D - The rules of the organization must be applied without favoritism or discrimination. Rewarding only certain project resources and ignoring others is unfair and unprofessional. The code of ethics and professional behavior not only prohibit this behavior, but it also requires that project managers report violations by other project managers to the appropriate management. [Reference: PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, Page 4] [Prof. Responsibility]

I think PM needs to verify the information he/she just heard, before reporting it to proper management , and comforting the other PM it will help in that, hence the correct answer is B.please advise? :?

your understanding of verification of claim is right however that option is not provided.

confronting the PM also means that you have believed in what the team member has said..

confronting PM is different from veryfying facts with PM.

Confronting anyone without factual data is not recommended, infact confronting is not recommended at all remember this while choosing right options in exam.

there are other ways to solve an issue without confronting

My Score as follow:

already completed the following;
1- RITA knowledge area 80-85 %
2- Most of Izenbridge Knowledge area 75-90%
3- now I'm doing Test from Christopher Scordo
A - complete until Exam 10, and my score around 78-90 %
B - take 2 or 3 exams as once (100, 150 questions as one exam)

left 2 weeks , my plan to :
1- complete Christopher Scordo (8 PMP Lite Mock Exams, plan to complete 4 exams x 50 = 200 questions at once)
2- complete process group exam from Izenbridge (4 Exams)-Izenbridge
3- complete EVM Questions (2 exams)-Izenbridge
4- 200 Question Test (4 Exams)-Izenbridge
5- 200 Questions Full Length Practice Test (Dynamic)-Izenbridge

What do you think, any additional advise?
