### decision tree analysis

Carl is not sure when to use decision tree analysis. He reaches out to subject matter expert in this category. The subject matter expert explains this concept in detail by providing him with lot of examples. Just to confirm whether Carl has clearly understood the topic or not, he in the end gives lot of examples to Carl and ask him to let him know that in which of the following scenarios Carl should not use decision tree analysis. What should be Carl's correct response?

A: When you need to know what will be the implications if you don't select a particular alternative.
B: When some scenarios are unknown.
C: When some scenarios are known.
D: When the result of some of the decision you took is uncertain.

I think the correct answer is C,

Decision Tree Analysis. A diagramming and calculation technique for evaluating the implications of a chain of
multiple options in the presence of uncertainty.

### Re: decision tree analysis

I think the answer is option A, since it is a decision that a PM wanted to take so analyzing the implication of a particular alternate. Option D, says the decision is already taken and analyzing the impact later.

### Re: decision tree analysis

Option C is correct, because a. You would use a Decision Tree when uncertainty and unknowns exist regarding future scenarios and their outcomes; not when future scenarios are known.

### Re: decision tree analysis

I would go with option A, As decision tree analysis is primarily used to understand the impact of scenarios that are known
