Project Documents

Postby sivapriya Wed Dec 25, 2019 3:40 am

Hi Sir,

How do we identify if a document is a part of Project documents or Part of Project Management Plan.
Scope Management Plan which is an outcome of one of the processes is considered as PMP and Requirements
trace ability matrix which is also an outcome of a process is considered as Project documents. How do we differentiate
this. Please correct if my understanding is wrong.

Regards
Sivapriya.

If you look at table 4-1 of PMBOK you will understand the difference,
Project management plan, as name suggests is a 'PLAN' so all baseline, subsidiary plans and other plans are for sure part of PMP , in addition PMP also contains baseline document for cost, schedule and scope.

Rest all should be considered as project document,,

Also note that this is not a rule, but a simple explanation of the difference, in exam you need not memorize what is part of PMP or project document, understand the concept and you should be fine.
