Question on Schedule Network Diagram ES vs EF

Postby bandarna Mon Sep 22, 2014 4:35 am

Saket,
You video on calculating both ES and EF (backward pass and foreword pass) are clear. You have started ES as 1 and EF 2 for the first activity in a network schedule diagram. Next you have used formula as (ES+ Duration) -1 for EF. One the other hand in Rita's book v8 (page No: 221), she has started ES with zero and EF of predecessor and ES of success numbers are same. We do not use (ES+ Duration) -1 formula.

Are these both are correct do we have to clear on both methods?

Narsi - Follow Saket method from video. Don't get confuse with multiple methods. If you look in PMBOK - first activity starts from Day 1 also.
