Re: Procurement Strategy - Delivery methods
nuFor industrial or commercial construction, project delivery methods include but are not limited to:
turnkey design build (DB), .- This is fixed price
design bid build (DBB), - This is 2 phased approach, sperate bid for design and actual construction, they can be same or different vendors,
build own operate transfer (BOOT),
Usually for highways, car parking spaces, some commercial buildings on govt lands like railways stations etc, etc , where the Vendor builds at its own cost and then operate, the govt can decide to proved the space for nominal rent for a long duration so the vendor can recover the cost over the years and then return the property back to govt
design build operate (DBO),
same as above however project ownership of the project remains usually with the project company, used by many countries to devlope an under developed regions
and others.
