Re: DevOps

Hi, I second Saket's POV. As of now, the concept of DevOps is getting firmed up in the industry. For now all it means is, putting project support infrastructure in place that is aimed at quick rollout of applications. Think in terms of daily or hourly rollout of your application based on the changin...

Nothing was easy. Nothing is easy. Nothing will be easy.

"Nothing was easy. Nothing is easy. Nothing will be easy." I have been sticking to this mantra all my life. Today, at 5:15 PM, when I looked at the PMI exam results popped out in front of me, this is the tagline that came across my mind. I cleared the PMI-ACP exam today dear all. One thin...

Difference between Lead Time and Cycle Time

Friends,

I have a confusion between lead time and cycle time. Are they both the same in Agile world i.e. the time taken to start with and complete a story.

Thanks,
Nithin

Conditions of Satisfaction vs Acceptance Criteria

Hi All, I am clear on Definition of Ready. However, when it comes to Conditions of Satisfaction vs Acceptance Criteria , I get confused. Can anyone please explain it to me in a simple way? I am clear with DoD which is nothing but the checklist of activities that will make an user story delivery read...

Re: Backlog refinement

To my knowledge it is not a planned, agile ceremony. But is is definitely an activity suggested to by taken up by team from time to time. Also, this is not part of the 4 major agile ceremonies.

Agile Terms | Sounded unfamiliar

Saket, Could you please touch base upon the following terms briefly (or to the right extent): 1) Exploration Process 2) Kaizen 3) Agile Modeling 4) Learning Cycles in Scrum 5) Scenario Based By default, whenever we get a scenario based question, we should assume that the team is a self-organized tea...

Re: Releasing every Sprint or End.

My 2 cents: The end of every iteration marks the completion of the development of "potentially" shippable product features (MMF for the initial iterations). From the definition of velocity, we know that only DONE stories are part of an increment produced at the end of an iteration. The sto...

Re: Risk audit in Agile

Agreed. Saket - From a ceremony perspective, retrospective is all about the team, SM, and PO (being optional). Can we fairly assume that risk audit is done by the scrum team alone with no external stakeholders in the picture? Practically, a client side sponsor might be interested in knowing how we a...
