Cleared PMI-ACP on 11-Jan-17

Today I cleared the PMI-ACP exam. Thanks to Saket on helping me clear the exam. To prepare for the exam... 1. Took Saket's prep course. Did 3 pass of the course videos with 1 month time in-between. This showed me the weak areas where I am not grasping enough. 2. Studied Mike Griffith's book. Did 3 p...

Re: Handling Time off in Velocity

The unknown part for me is how to... "this leave should be taken into consideration during release planning" Our avg velocity is 60 until a team member leaves on timeoff for 6 weeks. So with 4 week iteration, a complete iteration's velocity will take a dip and with 7 members taking 6 weeks...

Handling Time off in Velocity

Hi all, We have a practical problem when doing release plan. We have average velocity for the team but we do not know how to handle time-off into velocity. Re: Agile Monitoring question

So what would be the calculation if the velocity numbers are same over multiple sprint such as velocity of 10,10,9,10,10, 10, 10, 10,10 and 10? So is this following calculation correct? Avg = (99/10) = 9.9 = (TotalUserStoryPoints / 9.9) Opt = (10+10+9)/3 = 9.6 = (TotalUserStoryPoints / 9.6) Pess = (...

Re: stopping user story in current sprint.

Just to add to the question... can a user story span multiple sprints since it could not be completed in one sprint due to some additional challenges we uncovered when exploring it?

Re: When we define "Definition of Done:?

Saket, for point 1, wouldn't the DOD apply to each item in the sprint backlog which will be verified in sprint review? I was under the understanding that every every item in the spring backlog will have it's own DOD. For the next sprint, we will have new items/features that will be selected into the...
