I opted for option C but the right answer is option B - but my concern is then why change requests are there??? when nothing beyond the scope mentioned in the project charter can't be approved...any thoughts...

I haven't seen this before but by looking at this can be make out that there will be more than 1 critical path - so not good for the project.
There are 3 task as start activity with different duration - and overlapping each other and same goes for end activity as well.

The project in this case is under budget and over schedule....

PV = 950000/9 *3 = 316,666
CPI = 380000 (EV)/350000 (AC) = 1.09
SPI = 380000 (EV) /316666 (PV) = 1.2

okay , so I can assume BAC as PV if not given in the question, like i stated before, PV is approved or allocated to task or milestones and if u sum all of these it becomes BAC.

PV vs BAC

Hi All
I need help to clarify my doubt regarding the PV - how does it get calculated when we have BAC , Actual and EV?
Do i consider BAC as PV? BAC is suppose to be for the entire project and PV is divided by activities or milestones.

Please help on this with some numeric sample example.

Thanks Manish - meanwhile i red somewhere that if you have previous estimate then its good to use BETA otherwise if you are estimating something something new;which wasn't done in past project, use triangular distribution - pls correct if this understand is not right..
