Re: Mock test 1 question

Cost of Quality = Cost of conformance(Prevention + Appraisal costs) + Cost of non-conformance (Internal Failures + External Failures).

Cost of Conformance - to avoid issues occurring in first place.
Cost of non-Conformance - to handle issues once occurred

Re: Conduct Procurement

I differ with the above discussions. As per me, correction option is C - Procurement SOW created by buyer was clear but seller understood it incorrectly resulting lower bid Sellers will be/ought to be careful in submitting repetitive bids too - economic situation( inflations)/price adjustments. Re: Procurement

Organization has a good relation with sole source vendor - Your Role is Buyer not meeting the client requirements/Project about to Cancel - Your Role is Seller So, i presume in this context its given for sub-contracting. This is a tricky situation where yourself is in a legal obligation to customer/...

Re: Change requests in manage communications

Define activities stem from WBS. Because of progressive elaboration nature of WBS (otherwise called Rolling wave planning) there may be some Planning Packages and other WBS packages which may get more clarifications. Hence the changes request in Define Act. Define Scope process is all to get with Pr...

Thanks a lot Manish for the clarification. It makes sense.
I understand, CRs in define activity and develop schedules may be due to rolling wave planning used in WBS/Work Packages.

Re: Oliver 75 - 56th Question

Fully agree with Manish with a little clarification, inspection need not to be on the final product. it can be conducted at any level. Its get little confusing when we know that *other terminologies for Inspection include but not limited to Audit, walk through etc ?

Fine line between proj managemnet plan/docs updates Vs Change Request

Hi Manish, Request clarification on fine line when PMBOK says in its process Outputs: proj man plan/docs updates in general and Change Requests in specific. In some of the processes like planning process, in outputs it just says proj man plan/docs updates taken thru org. change control process which...

Re: Project Quality Management

Answer is Manage Quality. If you carefully read PMBOK between lines, you can find the answer. In Plan Quality, project team determines how to test and inspect. You can relate this to test strategy. In Manage Quality, quality management plan is translated to executable activities. It uses quality met...

It may sound weird. How about option -d . Its the strategy that has all the plans in dealing Option A to C ?
Its the plan in handling all the other situations and executing it in further processes.

Re: scope management plan

I am with Manish. It says Cost Forecast which means cost baseline is already done and signoff by customer. It seems later our cost forecast indicates overrun which we have to deal with internally. In this situations we try to utilize buffer if available - no option given. So, best answer is Fast Tra...

I agree with Manish. From the sentence about to be delivered, we can think this happening during Control Quality Process( Verify Deliverable -issues are found and resolved) and before Validate Scope(deliverable accepted/signoff). During quality control, if any issue found a defect/issue is raised an...
